As a company we try very hard to be as environmentally friendly as possible - this is what we are doing
- our factory is powered by 100% green energy
- we recently installed led low energy lights
- our print engine is state of the art and uses vegetable based toner.
- our paper is all FSC
- we don’t use all recycled board as it isn’t always suitable or available at the moment. We are currently trialling 100% recycled board but it is only single sided which doesn’t suit all designs. As they become more available we will substitute
- we don’t use non plastic bags as we don’t believe they are the right product yet. They only compost at industrial temperatures and contaminate recycling if placed in the wrong bin. We have taken measures to reduce the amount we use by having no self seal or flap and if a fully environmentally favourable material is found we will use it. Of course we can supply with no plastic which is the best but can result in some peripheral damage
- we reuse all packaging from our neighbours and don’t use any virgin packing material
- also our website is powered by 100% renewable energy.
As you can tell we do consider our environment very carefully and I personally care very much about it.
We had an environmental survey done by the local chamber of commerce who decided we were doing the best we could to keep our carbon footprint low.
Since January 2022 all our main ranges and calendars are made from 100% recycled board.
To avoid waste older stock will still be sold and then replaced using 100% recycled board.
